Support after launch

Hosting & Care Plans

Three managed hosting and care tiers for businesses that need their website looked after properly after launch. From basic uptime and backups through to priority support and custom care arrangements.

Package signal

Choose the closest route first, then shape the final scope with confidence.

Hosting and care is an ongoing monthly service, not a once-off purchase. Choose the tier based on how business-critical the site is, how quickly you need support, and whether commercially active means simple uptime cover, proactive maintenance, or a higher-touch support relationship.

Tier structure

Pick the route that best matches the level of support you need.

These are structured starting points designed to improve decision-making early. Final pricing still depends on scope, content readiness, integrations, and whether the selected route is the best fit after review.

Decision context

Use this route when the project needs clarity before it needs a proposal.

This route is for businesses that need website hosting South Africa support without having to deal with servers, updates, backups, and technical issues alone. It keeps the website commercially active through reliable uptime, security checks, software updates, backup coverage, and practical support when something needs attention. Hosting and care are monthly services because a business website needs ongoing maintenance after launch, not only a place to sit online.

The strongest first step is to decide whether this service is the main requirement or part of a wider mix. If the project also needs adjacent support, use the package builder to combine the route with hosting, SEO, ecommerce, care, or campaign work before asking for a final quote.

Scope signals

What affects the final estimate?

Final pricing depends on how much strategy, content, page depth, technical integration, launch pressure, and post-launch support the project needs. A simple brief with confirmed content can move quickly; a broader commercial system needs more planning so the work is priced around the real requirement rather than a rough assumption.

If the package feels close but not exact, talk it through before the scope hardens. That keeps the estimate practical and helps avoid paying for work the project does not need yet.

Care Essential

From R499/mo

Care Essential is for businesses that need reliable website hosting, backup coverage, and routine maintenance without a heavy monthly support commitment. It covers the basics that protect a site after launch: updates, security awareness, backups, and simple support guidance. This tier suits smaller websites where stability matters but the site is not yet operationally complex.

  • Managed hosting setup for a stable business website
  • Scheduled backups for recovery protection
  • Core platform, plugin, or software update checks where applicable
  • Basic uptime and security awareness for early issue detection
  • Light support cover for small fixes, questions, or guidance
  • Monthly care notes so the website does not become neglected after launch
  • Up to 3 basic cPanel email accounts when hosted with WCS

03

Care Custom

Custom quote

Care Custom is for business-critical websites, ecommerce stores, custom builds, or teams that need a defined support relationship. It is scoped around the real operating risk: traffic, uptime expectations, integration complexity, change frequency, and internal support needs. This route creates a custom care plan instead of forcing a serious website into a generic maintenance package.

  • Custom hosting and care plan for business-critical websites
  • Business-critical uptime, backup, and recovery planning
  • Higher-touch support allocation for recurring updates or operational changes
  • Custom monitoring approach for forms, ecommerce, integrations, or key workflows
  • Performance, security, and maintenance roadmap reviewed around business priorities
  • Defined response expectations and support scope before the monthly plan begins
Use as starting point

Basic cPanel email accounts are available when your website and DNS are managed through White Cat Studios. Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, mailbox migration, and advanced email support are quoted separately.

Common questions

Questions about this service?

Answers to the questions that typically come up before a brief is confirmed. If something isn't covered here, the contact page is the right next step.

What does a care plan actually include?

Care plans cover managed hosting, scheduled backups, platform and plugin update checks, basic uptime and security monitoring, and light support for questions or small fixes. Care Pro adds priority response, broader maintenance checks across forms, performance, and key pages, and a support allocation for minor changes. Care Custom is scoped around business-critical requirements with defined response expectations.

What happens if my site goes down?

Care Pro and Care Custom clients receive priority support and are contacted as soon as an issue is detected. Care Essential clients can raise a support request and receive assistance within normal business hours. Downtime is rare on managed WCS hosting but when it occurs, the priority is to identify and resolve the cause, restore the site, and confirm the fix before closing the support case.

Can I move a site that White Cat did not build onto a care plan?

Yes, though a brief technical review is required first to assess the site's current state, platform, and hosting setup before a care tier can be recommended. This ensures the plan covers the real maintenance needs and there are no pre-existing issues that would affect the support relationship from the start.

What is the difference between Care Essential and Care Pro?

Care Essential covers the basics: hosting, backups, routine update checks, and light support for small questions or fixes. Care Pro adds priority support response, broader maintenance across forms, performance, and plugin health, regular backup review, and a monthly support allocation for minor changes. Care Pro is the better fit when the site actively supports enquiries, campaigns, or commercial activity.

Do care plans include email hosting?

Care Essential includes up to 3 basic cPanel email accounts and Care Pro includes up to 10, both for sites hosted with White Cat Studios. Email accounts are basic cPanel mailboxes. For teams needing more advanced email, Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 are recommended and can be set up separately.

Still deciding?

Use the builder when the right tier is close, but not quite the full answer.

That route works best when the project needs add-ons, adjacent services, or a more tailored estimate than a single package card can express by itself.
